 What do you do?

  • A trained research coordinator will explain the study to you and what you must do in a two hour onboarding session. 

  • Download a free app where you will respond to four 5-minute surveys each day and submit multiple breathalyzer samples each night, for 30 days.

Will I be compensated?

  • Participants are compensated with up to $275 for their time in our study.

  • Compensation is in the form of a ClinCard, which functions like a debit card as research staff virtually upload funds you earn throughout the study. 

Alcohol and Relationships

What do you do?

  • A trained research coordinator will explain the study to you and what you must do in a 30 minute onboarding session.

  • One 60-minute baseline survey and a 5-minute daily survey done via your phone or computer every day for 60 consecutive days.

Will I be compensated?

  • Participants are compensated with up to $115 for their time in our study.

  • Compensation is in the form of a ClinCard, which functions like a debit card as research staff virtually upload funds you earn throughout the study. 

Couples Study

 What do you do?

  • A trained research staff will interview you for 60-90 minutes, asking questions related to you and your partner.

  • Interview done virtually via Zoom.

  • Inform future interventions that could better serve rural couples in Virginia.

Will I be compensated?

  • Participants are compensated $100 for completing the 60-90 minute interview.

  • Compensation is in the form of a ClinCard, which functions like a debit card as research staff virtually upload funds you earn throughout the study.

Relationship Study

Confidentiality

  • All of your data will be deidentified from your name in the form of a string of letters/numbers and secured in a locked room within an encrypted, password protected computer. 

  • Your answers will remain confidential, and only IRB approved research coordinators will interact with you and your data.

  • Following study completion, any and all identifying data will be deleted.
